Image
Looking for a mouth-watering dosa in Chickmangalore? Look no further than Chickmangalore town canteen! This iconic canteen is one of the most popular food destinations in the city, and it's not hard to see why. I recently visited Chickmangalore town canteen and tried both their butter and normal masala dosa, and I have to say, they were both incredible. The dosa was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of filling and spices. The butter dosa was particularly delicious, with a generous amount of butter that added a rich and creamy flavor to the dish. But it's not just the dosa that's worth trying at Chickmangalore town canteen. The canteen also serves a variety of other South Indian dishes that are equally delicious. For example, their idli and vada are also very popular among the customers. The chutney and sambar that come with these dishes are also top-notch, with a perfect blend of flavors and spices. One thing to note about Chickmanga...

Sruthi Hotel Varadoor, famous for pickles. is simply "pickled" !!!

Image
Sruthi Hotel Varadoor, fails to Impress !!! Sruthi Hotel in Varadoor, Kerala has been making quite a buzz on YouTube lately with many people raving about the delicious food and especially the pickles. However, after giving it a try myself, I have to say that I was quite underwhelmed with the experience. Firstly, the pickles which are so hyped about were not as impressive as I expected. While they were good, they were not exceptional and certainly not worth all the hype. The range of pickles from orange peel to " eerkili " ( coconut frond spine 😆) but from the ones that I tasted, I feel like they are all the same. Like in some hotels you can find the same gravy for egg and grams. Additionally, the "speed chammanthy" which is known for its spicy kick was way too hot and had an overpowering taste of pickled "kanthari" bird eye chillies. Moving on to the mains, the fish fry was decent, but not amazing. The curries were also just average and did not stand out ...

Babu Ettante Hotel, Iritty : A Mixed Bag of Tasty Treats and Missed Opportunities

Babu Ettante Hotel: A Mixed Bag of Tasty Treats and Missed Opportunities If you're looking for a taste of authentic South Indian cuisine in Iritty, Babu Ettante Hotel is definitely worth a visit. Despite its flaws, this restaurant offers a range of delicious dishes that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting more. I recently had the chance to visit Babu Ettante Hotel and sample some of their most popular dishes. One of the standout items was the fish fry, which was both spicy and tasty. The fish was cooked to perfection and the spices used in the marinade really brought out its natural flavors. I was lucky enough to grab the last serving of the dish, as it was all gone by 2:30 pm and people were even having their lunch just with the fish fry masala! However, despite the great taste of the food, there were some areas where Babu Ettante Hotel fell short. Firstly, the restaurant was not very clean. The tables were not wiped down properly, and the floor was in need of a...
